Super Computer makes prediction on if Everton will be relegated this season
Everton are likely to avoid relegation this season and finish in 16th place in the Premier League, according to a Super Computer’s prediction.
Last season it was predicted that Everton would narrowly avoid the drop, with FiveThirtyEight’s algorithm picking them for a 17th placed finish.
However a new study done on August 6th, prior to the team’s 1-0 defeat to Chelsea, expects them to finish in 16th place and once again avoid the drop this season after bolstering their squad.

The research suggests that Everton will finish the season with 41 points, which is a two point improvement on the 2021/22 season, three points clear of the bottom three.
Hope?
There’s not much to cling on to right now, so we suppose this will have to do for Toffees fans right now.
It’s been a tough transfer window so far, losing Richarlison and replacing him with a winger who didn’t get a single goal or assist last season, despite his obvious qualities.
Without addressing the striker situation the club could be in big trouble this season, as Dominic Calvert-Lewin continues to suffer with fitness problems and Salomon Rondon just simply isn’t good enough.

Defensively Frank Lampard has improved the team, while in midfield they are greatly strengthened too so there are encouraging signs there.
Defeat on the opening day wasn’t helpful but Chelsea aren’t a team that Everton should be expecting three points from and the performance was good all things considered.
Now they must build on it and solve the final issues in the final few weeks of the window to improve and prove the Super Computer right.
There are some links to the likes of Ludovic Ajorque for the striker position, while Conor Coady has been linked to further strengthen the defence too. If they can get those deals over the line, fans will be much more confident heading into the season.
