Everton now prepare documents with Wolves to seal Conor Coady transfer – Fabrizio Romano
Everton are now preparing the documents with Wolves for the signing of defender Conor Coady, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The reliable journalist has reported that Frank Lampard has placed the England international at the top of his list, with deals for Amadou Onana and Idrissa Gueye also set to go through this week.
The Toffees are in real need of reinforcements at the back, with both Ben Godfrey and Yerry Mina being forced off with serious injuries against Chelsea on Saturday [06 August].

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Romano shared the latest details behind the move that has now become a massive priority after the weekend.
“Everton are prepared to complete both Conor Coady and Amadou Onana signings this week,” he wrote.
“Documents in progress with Wolves for the centre-back who’s top of Lampard’s list.”
New Look.
Everton could go into the clash with Aston Villa next week with a completely new look about them.
Coady at the back with Gueye and Onana ahead of him would add some much-needed steel to the spine of this side, and Lampard will be desperate to get all three done as soon as possible.
That will then allow them all to join the team at Finch Farm and put in the work before being available to start at Villa Park and make a real difference.
There is no question about it that all three would be straight into the starting line-up if they are confirmed this week, with Kevin Thelwell likely now working in overdrive behind the scenes with Coady expected to be a loan-to-buy.
After that, a striker is desperately needed with our injury woes continuing in the final third, but that may be the final piece of the puzzle for this season.
Wolves are doing their end of the bargain, now it is down to us to get it over the line and confirmed in a matter of hours, never mind days.
