Newcastle United consider fresh bid to sign Everton ace Anthony Gordon
Newcastle United are considering a fresh approach to sign Everton winger Anthony Gordon, according to the Newcastle Chronicle.
The 21-year-old started the Toffees’ first Premier League game of the season at home to Chelsea having already been the target of a bid from the Magpies earlier in the summer.
Everton rejected Toon’s previous approach indicating that Gordon was not for sale whatsoever but the Newcastle Chronicle believe there could be a tipping point soon.

With injuries already starting to pile up at Finch Farm, the billionaire-owned Magpies could look to make a new front to sign Gordon, who Alan Shearer described as “fearless” on the Premier League’s YouTube channel, so Everton can make further signings.
Ben Godfrey and Yerry Mina were both forced off in the 1-0 opening day defeat to Chelsea which now leaves Frank Lampard very short at centre-half with Mason Holgate and James Tarkowski now the only fit players in the position.
Get real
There might be a couple more players on the injury table than the boss would like after just one game but that is no reason to start a mass panic which would include selling Gordon.
Everton will have no chance of any kind of successful season if they let their homegrown gem leave for St James’ Park and they should not even have the audacity to consider it.

Let’s not forget that he has only had one good season so far and he still has a lot to learn before he is the complete package that would make him a top player.
More new signings are needed at Goodison Park but there is no need to sell one of the club’s biggest assets to do so having already let Richarlison go for massive money this summer.
Tarkowski and Holgate should be enough to get Lampard through if Mina can return relatively quickly but with Conor Coady’s impending arrival, no panic is necessary.
