Everton target Serhou Guirassy has reportedly been left out of the AS Monaco squad in order to force a move to Goodison Park.

The Ligue 1 side named their starting eleven against Rennes at 3pm and there was no mention of the striker in their matchday squad.

It has since been learnt that he has been left out as he’s keen on joining the Toffees who are working hard to sign him as soon as possible.

Via Twitter, former BBC journalist Fraser Fletcher wrote, “Everton a top striker away from a result today. Club working on Serhou Guirassy and hope to get over line ASAP.

“Guirassy left out of Rennes side to face Monaco today as he hopes to force through move.”

The Frenchman appears to be the one who the club have narrowed in on so it’s time they get this deal done sooner rather than later.

Last season, he may have played 37 out of 38 league games for Rennes, but a staggering 30 of them were off the bench.

His absence, will not pinch them a great deal so the Toffees can sign him at a bargain while also looking to sign another striker.

Guirassy can also play on the wings so it makes sense for the club to sign him as a versatile option.

This would surely spell the end of the road for Salomon Rondon who must be cashed in on this summer.

Che Adams appears to be another player who could walk through the door in the coming days or weeks and we’re hoping that Kevin Thelwell is also working on that.
