Everton attacker Dele Alli is reportedly expected to land in Istanbul on Friday to have his Besiktas medical and seal his transfer.
According to the Express (August 17, page 49), the Turkish side are expecting the England international to arrive on August 19 and complete a move.
However, the 26-year-old is yet to commit to the move and both loan and permanent deals have been discussed as the decision is being left with the attacker.
There was no reason behind signing Alli in the first place but the fact that he arrived on free made few people raise eyebrows.
Now, with him looking all but set to leave the club, it remains to be seen how much money the Toffees will receive from his sale.
They had a complicated arrangement with Tottenham Hotspur which would see them pay a transfer fee after he’s played a certain number of games for them.
Everton are due to pay £10million to the North London club once the England international makes 20 appearances for them.
As seen in the graphic above, he’s just played 13 games and will not be reaching the 20 mark before the window closes anyway.
This is a perfect scenario for the Toffees and if they manage to make some money from it, it will prove to be a masterstroke.
