Wolfsburg midfielder Aster Vranckx will cost £8.5m as Everton show interest

Wolfsburg want £8.5million for 19-year-old midfielder Aster Vranckx as Everton show interest according to Dutch news outlet Voetbalkrant.

It’s understood that the Toffees along with Nottingham Forest and Ligue 1 side Lille are all displaying interest in the Belgium under-21 international.

Voetbalkrant also revealed on 21 August that Serie A giants AC Milan are interested in bringing Vranckx to the San Siro.

Exciting prospect

The 19-year-old is certainly a man in demand and looks like an interesting prospect for Frank Lampard to consider.

Vranckx has already captained Belgium’s under-21 side and featured 24 times for Wolfsburg in the 2021/22 season.

He is exactly the type of player that Lampard should be looking to bring to the club with the midfielder still young and able to develop whilst at Goodison Park.

However, whether Vranckx is a priority for Everton is up in the air.

Amadou Onana’s arrival has somewhat eased Lampard’s midfield woes and the Everton boss will probably be looking to add a striker to his ranks in the coming days.

Everton

The Mirror reported on Saturday 20 August that Everton are weighing up a move for Brentford striker Ivan Toney and that surely has to be a move for Lampard to pursue first.

Everton look to have a good array of options in midfield, so a move for Vranckx would be one for Lampard to really fine-tune his squad.

A striker has to be the next player through the door with the Toffees already playing catch up in the Premier League.

Surely a new frontman will be present for their trip to Brentford next Saturday (27 August).
