Chelsea confident of completing £50m+ Anthony Gordon transfer from Everton this week
Chelsea are confident of completing a deal for Everton forward Anthony Gordon this week, with a new bid expected worth more than £50m according to The Times.
The Toffees have already rejected two bids for Gordon from the Blues, worth £43m and £45m, and value the 21-year-old winger at a minimum of £50m to allow him to leave.
Now Chelsea are set to come back with a bid that will exceed that amount with add-ons, and are confident that they will be able to complete a deal before their weekend fixture against Leicester on Saturday.

Gordon is said to be interested in the move to play Champions League football, but will not push for it and is also happy to stay at the club where he came through the academy since he was 11 years old.
Everton face Fleetwood in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night before heading to Brentford in the Premier League on Saturday.
Inevitable
As soon as Chelsea started flashing the cash at us for Gordon, it seemed inevitable that he would be on his way out before the deadline.
We are absolutely desperate for attacking reinforcements after losing Richarlison and with Dominic Calvert-Lewin not able to be relied upon because of his injury problems Gordon has become a star at Goodison Park.

But with the financial situation the club is in, they simply can’t turn down that type of money that’s on offer and it seems likely that they will sanction the deal before the deadline next Thursday.
It’s now an absolute necessity that replacements for both Richarlison and Gordon are brought in before then, or the club will continue in a relegation battle this season having fought so hard to avoid one after escaping last year with one game to spare.
Everton have scored just two goals so far this season, with an own goal against Villa and Demarai Gray’s equaliser against Forest earning them their only point from the opening three games.
