Everton want Armando Broja or Conor Gallagher on loan if Anthony Gordon joins Chelsea

Everton want Chelsea to include Armando Broja or Conor Gallagher on loan as part of the deal to sign Anthony Gordon according to talkSPORT.

Sky Sports revealed on Tuesday 23 August that Chelsea are prepared to offer Β£60million for the 21-year-old.

Furthermore, according to former BBC journalist Fraser Fletcher, (via Twitter, 23 August) Gordon has agreed personal terms with the West London club.

It’s understood that Everton now want either Gallagher or Broja to be part of any negotiations for Gordon.

Better deal

If Everton can land Broja on loan it would prove to be far better business with the transfer window entering its final few days.

Evertonians would be fuming if Gordon leaves Goodison Park towards the end of the window with Frank Lampard having very little time to replace the 21-year-old.

Broja would be the ideal striker to come to Everton, but ideally on a permanent deal for Lampard.

If the club do allow Gordon to leave, it is crucial that the transfer is finalised in the coming days.

Lampard cannot be given less than a week to locate a replacement for Gordon, as well as look for a striker with the potential incoming transfer fee.

Ultimately, Everton should have been more proactive in their transfer business this summer which would’ve led to a less pressurised end to the window.

Gallagher is probably less of a priority for Lampard at the moment after the arrival of Amadou Onana to bolster his midfield options.

It promises to be a hectic few days for all Evertonians.
