Everton scout Steve Davis was spotted at the Blackburn Rovers v Stoke City game club are reportedly looking to make more additions before the deadline.

A document shared online on Monday, 29 August, showed that the Toffees man was one among numerous Premier League scouts.

Manchester United, Manchester City, West Ham, Aston Villa, Brighton and Southampton all had their scouts in attendance.

Everton are still understood to be keen on signing Diaz with Rovers looking for £15million to part ways with him.

Diaz watch?

Everton have signed Neal Maupay from Brighton but it looks like they’re not yet done with their offensive signings for this summer.

Diaz is a striker who’s been linked with them for a while and they may feel the need to sign two strikes, especially if Frank Lampard is eyeing a 3-5-2 system this season.

It’s pretty clear that he does not trust Salomon Rondon while Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s injury record makes him a difficult option to rely on.

The fans would certainly welcome the Chilean striker as he would come to Goodison Park with a proven goal-scoring record.

He will only get better with age so it could be viewed as an investment for the future and Lampard would certainly love working with the 23-year-old.

It remains to be seen if Everton make an official bid for him before the window closes, but the fact that their scout was at the game, suggests that they are certainly contemplating something.
