Everton most likely destination for Blackburn ace Ben Brereton Diaz amid Fulham interest

Everton are reportedly viewed as the most likely destination for Blackburn Rovers striker Ben Brereton Diaz amid Fulham interest.

According to former Eurosport journalist Dean Jones, Fulham made an offer but it wasn’t to the requirements of the Ewood Park outfit.

With the Toffees still active in the transfer market, the Chilean still appears likely to be heading to Goodison Park before the transfer deadline.

Jones told Give Me Sport, “Obviously, Fulham have come forward with an offer for Brereton Diaz, but their offer is way too low.

“It sounds like, from Fulham’s end, they still expect Everton to go ahead and get Brereton Diaz.

“I’d say that his most likely landing spot still seems to be Everton. Fulham might actually end up going for Gykeres, at Coventry, instead of him.”

Sign him up

Everton cannot afford to keep on delaying the pursuit to sign a new striker and on deadline day it’s clear that Diaz is the easiest and arguably best option to bring in.

He’s very similar to Richarlison as he cannot be defined to one position, although he does prefer playing as a central striker.

However, he is just as devastating out wide as he manages to get into tight spaces and can wreak havoc in the final third.

His numbers for Bllackburn speak for themselves and it would be the cherry on the cake if Kevin Thelwell and co can bring him over the line ahead of the 11pm deadline.

The club even sent scouts to watch him play over the weekend so his interest is real and all that’s needed is for an official bid to go in.
