Everton now set sights on Ferencvaros winger Adama Traore

Everton have set their sights on signing Ferencvaros winger Adama Traore already, according to Calciomercato.

The Italian outlet has reported on its website over the weekend that the Toffees are the only club mentioned in the race for the Malian goal-getter.

The 27-year-old spent last season on loan at Sheriff, who famously beat Real Madrid in the Champions League, and could now be on the move once again.

Traore has been on fire at the start of the 2022-23 season, turning into somewhat of a goal machine.

The Malian international has started five games and has already managed eight goal involvements with five of them being from his own boot for Ferencvaros.

Not to mention the seven goals in qualifying competitions for the Champions League and the Europa League, as well as the first matchday of the latter in nearly as many appearances.

Smart.

With Dominic Calvert-Lewin coming back from injury, eyes may shift to those wide areas as the next problem that may need solving.

Frank Lampard will want more goals from his attacking options outside of Anthony Gordon, with the likes of Demarai Gray and Dwight McNeil yet to get going on that front.

When you look at goals and stats, that is exactly what Traore brings you.

Many may have doubts over his ability to do that in the Premier League, but he has been doing it in Europe for fun too, starting the Europa League with a bang this week.

Farhad Moshiri and his team will want to back his manager and Kevin Thelwell in January too, with the squad rebuild showing real signs of promise now.

If we can turn these draws into wins soon, and then strengthen again in the winter market, all eyes are on the up right now at Goodison Park for Everton.
