James Garner in contention to make Everton debut v West Ham
Everton midfielder James Garner is reportedly available and in contention to make his debut against West Ham after moving from Manchester United.
According to the Liverpool Echo, the Englishman has been spotted in training ahead of the game and Frank Lampard has been positive about his availability.
Garner is yet to kick a ball in a Toffees shirt and could do so against the Hammers on Sunday in the Premier League.
Excitement building
Garner was an in-demand player this summer and at one time, it did not look likely that a move to Goodison Park was on the cards.
The Toffees were linked with numerous midfielders and eventually ended up signing three this summer and moving Alex Iwobi to midfield is as good as another signing there.

Where Garner comes into this team remains to be seen as Iwobi is now undroppable and the same can be said about Amadou Onana.
Whether Lampard moves to a midfield three and a back four will be something that everyone will be pondering about but it makes little sense to ditch the back three as of now.
The former Chelsea manager has been given credit in recent weeks for showing that he can coach a well-organised side and a win against West Ham can go a long way.
Along with Garner, there’s a very good chance that England and first-choice striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin also returns to the fold for Everton on Sunday as he has also been seen training with the first team.
