Everton fans will certainly be fuming at Kevin Thelwell for failing to get Ajax attacker Mohammed Kudus over the line in the summer window.
The Ajax ace was a disgruntled figure in the transfer window and did everything in order to force a move away from the club.
He saw his teammates Antony and Lisandro Martinez hold the club to ransom and felt that doing the same thing would’ve seen him get his move too.
Everton were in the hunt for attacking players over the course of the summer and the 22-year-old Ghanian was on their radar.
He even refused to report for training on transfer deadline day and everything looked like the Toffees would hand him an exit route out of Amsterdam.
However, that did not happen and he’s gone on to have an exceptional season for Ajax, scoring five goals in five league starts and going on to register six goals/assists in as many Champions League games.
Now, he’s managed to take his game to the next level at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar and was among the pick of things as his side beat South Korea 3-2.
He bagged two goals for the African nation and Andy Townsend on commentary for the Sports 18 world feed, said labelled it as an “Incredible” performance [28/11, 14:28]
Thelwell certainly should have done whatever he could to sign him as Everton desperately lack an attacker who can play in multiple positions and is a goal threat along with being an exceptional creative force.
