Besiktas chief frustrated by Everton loanee Dele Alli

Besiktas’ sporting director Ceyhun Kazanci has been left frustrated by Everton attacker Dele Alli’s performances on loan this season.

The England international moved to Turkey in a bid to salvage his club career but the loan has not worked out as he would’ve wanted it to.

He has been criticised by high-ranking officials at Besiktas but he’s still not managed to turn a new leaf.

Everton

“No one can answer whether Dele Alli can do it right now,” Kazanci told TRT Spor.

“He is working very hard. He is a player who reached €100million (£87m) three years ago. He had a fall.”

“Dele Alli is working intensively. We had intense talks with him before we signed him.”

“Senol is famous for returning many players whose careers have been on the decline. We hope that he will be better in the second half of the season.”

Not a surprise

Alli was on the decline after a few good years at Spurs and it seems like he took his head off the game and his attitude had serious issues.

It was surprising why Everton even signed him in the first place as it wasn’t a position that needed strengthening given the fact that Donny van de Beek was also brought in.

Both transfers panned out woefully for Frank Lampard who always seems like he’s fighting for his job since the day he arrived at the club.

Alli was even recently told that he’s hit rock bottom and these sort of statements aren’t really going to do wonders to his confidence anyway.

There’s no real chance of him ever returning to Everton and the sooner he’s off the books permanently the better it is for all parties.

We’ll be really surprised if he does end up even having a future in the Premier League because by the looks of it, he does not seem anywhere close to it.
