Nathan Patterson out for 6 weeks, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Anthony Gordon doubts for Everton v Manchester United
Everton are likely to be without Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Anthony Gordon and Nathan Patterson for their FA Cup clash with Manchester United, Frank Lampard confirmed.
The Toffees travel to Old Trafford on the back of a thrashing at the hands of Brighton in midweek, which left the manager clinging on to his job following a poor run of form.
But Lampard will still be in charge for the game against United, but he has now confirmed that defender Patterson will miss six weeks with a knee injury picked up in that game while his two star attackers are doubts too.
Lampard confirmed during his press conference, as reported by Liverpool ECHO journalist Joe Thomas, that Gordon is at the back end of his battle with illness, while Calvert-Lewin is fatigued having just come back form a long-term injury.
Problems
As if Everton didn’t have enough problems with our team and squad right now, injuries and tiredness are starting to stack up too.
Patterson’s form this season has been excellent, but at least we have old reliable Seamus Coleman in reserve to step into the side, so there should be little issue with his replacement.

Gordon has missed the last two games with illness and is likely to return soon but with Calvert-Lewin struggling that means we’re likely to see one-goal Neal Maupay in the lineup.
Demarai Gray has been one of the only bright sparks in recent games, but it would be nice to see one of Tom Cannon or Ellis Simms get a chance for Everton to show what they can do too.
Defensively we need to be better, but we need to find a way of scoring goals and it’s going to be difficult against a side who are in good form and at home, but something has to be done. Time for Lampard to earn his money.
