Farhad Moshiri to make Frank Lampard sack decision at Everton ahead of Manchester United clash
Farhad Moshiri has yet to make a decision on the future of Frank Lampard as Everton manager despite their embarrassing 4-1 defeat to Brighton.
The Seagulls rocked up to Goodison Park and found themselves 4-0 up within the opening hour of the game as fans chanted “sack the board” and the team find themselves just one point above the relegation zone despite having played more games than all the teams below them.
But as Lampard remains “on the brink” of the sack, Daily Mail journalist Dominic King says no decision has been made yet and Lampard will continue to plan for the FA Cup clash against Manchester United on Friday.
“Clearly Frank Lampard is under increasing and sustained pressure,” he wrote on his personal Twitter account (3 January).
“No decision will be made tonight on his future, he will carry on planning for Manchester United on Friday. Whatever happens will be determined by Farhad Moshiri.”

It was an absolute horror show at Goodison Park on Tuesday night and fans will want to see changes implemented quickly, whether that’s Lampard, the board or players.
The January transfer window is open now and while it’s only been a few days, it’s beyond our imagination that the club didn’t have deals already lined up and ready to go early doors considering the fact they had the whole World Cup period to start planning ahead.
Everton need fresh faces with quality that can add goals to this side, but before all of that they need someone in charge of the club who is capable of doing what needs to be done.
Whether that’s Lampard or Moshiri, neither are good enough and at this point the quickest thing to do would be to let Lampard go and bring in someone who can stabilise the team.
For this to happen so quickly after drawing with Man City shows that there is no progression happening, and something must be done before it’s too late.
