Everton desperate to seal Villarreal attacker Arnaut Danjuma transfer

Everton are reportedly “desperate” as they look to secure the services of Villarreal attacker Arnaut Danjuma in January.

According to Spanish media outlet Cadena Ser [10 January], the La Liga side are open to selling the Netherlands international.

However, they will give the green signal for the loan-to-buy move to Goodison Park once they’ve secured a replacement.

Danjuma certainly adds value to this Toffees attack and becomes a regular starter should be signed this month.

He does have admirers on the Toffees board as he has been linked with a move to Goodison Park even before Rafa Benitez was in charge of the club.

By the looks of it, Villarreal are open to doing a deal for the 25-year-old and it’s probably going to hinge on them finding a replacement for him.

This should not take too long and in the meantime, Everton can look to come to their own agreements with Danjuma over his salary and the game time expected.

We’re hoping that talks progress in the coming days as the Toffees are desperate for the deal to get over the line.
Lampard will also be a relieved man as he’s experienced firsthand the lacklustre transfer activity behind the scenes and hopefully, January is the window that gives him the impetus to kick on.

Danjuma’s arrival would also be interesting as it would mean Anthony Gordon will now have another attacker to fight with for a spot in the playing eleven.
