Farhad Moshiri in London on Monday night as Everton manager speculation goes into overdrive
Everton owner Farhad Moshiri was reportedly in London to have a look around as he is looking for a manager to succeed Frank Lampard.
According to talkSPORT host Jim White, Moshiri was having a look around on Monday night [23 January] after the decision to sack Lampard was made official.
Thus far, the Toffees have been linked with a number of managers including Marcelo Bielsa, Sean Dyche, Mauricio Pochettino and Wayne Rooney.
White said at 10:38 on 24/01, “Moshiri said to be in London last night to look around. We tried calling him this morning, but he has not picked up.”
Pochettino?
The former Spurs manager does have a house in London and prefers staying in the capital city of England.
From all the managers mentioned, it seems like he’s the one Moshiri would have gone to meet in London if that was actually on his agenda.
There are talks about Bielsa being the favourite to take over at Goodison Park and it remains to be seen if he will be keen on taking over the job.
He has been known to walk out on clubs that haven’t given him what he wanted and Everton are far from an example of being a well-run side.
A decision needs to be made soon about who the new manager is as there are a few days left before the window shuts and signings are still needed for the Toffees.
It’s also believed that the move to sign Arnaut Danjuma is now complicated and it may not even go ahead if things are not in place.
