Everton have reportedly been joined by Barcelona who are eyeing a late loan swoop for Manchester United attacker Anthony Elanga.
According to ESPN [31 January], the Sweden international has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford with Erik ten Hag preferring other options to him.
It’s understood that he could be allowed to leave on loan with Borussia Dortmund and PSV Eindhoven also keen on signing him.
Can do better
We’re surprised that a team chasing the La Liga title and competing with Real Madrid wants to sign someone like Elanga.
Barcelona surely have better players than Manchester United and if he’s not good enough to merit a spot in their first team, it’s baffling to suggest he would at Camp Nou.

Even for Everton, while they do have a shortage in their attacking ranks, Elanga is not an upgrade on Demarai Gray and Dwight McNeil.
The Toffees are eyeing a move for Kamaldeen Sulemana and that’s something that makes sense rather than pursuing an out-of-form 20-year-old.
It’s understood that Sulemana could be travelling to the United Kingdom in the coming hours to sort out his move.
Currently, Southampton are the other club keen on signing him and could be the battle of the relegation candidates in order to secure his services.
