Everton and Nottingham Forest target Andre Ayew work permit issues detailed
Free agent Andre Ayew will reportedly struggle to get a work permit amid interest from Everton and Nottingham Forest.
According to the Daily Mail’s Sami Mokbel [2 February], it may even require an appeal like Wolves had to go through to register Diego Costa, although they managed to get that done.
There is confidence that after the appeal he will get it done, but it will be a struggle and will not be offered an FA permit instantly.
He is understood to be in advanced talks with Everton, but Forest appear to be the favourites to secure his services.
Shame
It’s shameful that Everton have left it so late in the day to try and sign a striker and even still, they’re not going to be able to get one over the line.

It looks like Nottingham Forest will be winning the race to secure his services and it’s back to the drawing board for the Toffees now.
They did not bring in a single player in the January transfer window and that’s not a situation you would want to leave new manager Sean Dyche in.
He’s now got to fight against the odds to keep this side up and even if he signs another striker, he’s not going to be the preferred choice.
The lack of planning from top to bottom at the football club has been shambolic and it leads to the manager paying the price when it’s the higher ups that need to be blamed.
Hopefully, Dyche manages to convince someone to get over the line but we’re not sure if there are too many solid options available on free transfers out there.
