Everton: Andy Goldstein stunned as pundit shares Dele Alli to Arsenal transfer verdict
Everton midfielder Dele Alli isn’t strong enough to be a squad player at Arsenal, according to pundit Darren Bent, much to the shock of talkSPORT host Andy Goldstein.
Alli is currently on loan at Turkish club Besiktas, but reportedly has no future at his temporary club, with boss Senol Gunes constantly criticising the loanee.
His Toffees future is also in doubt, with the 26-year-old at risk of completely throwing away a once-promising career.
When asked by talkSPORT host Goldstein if he would have Alli as a squad player at Arsenal, Bent replied: “No.”
Goldstein responded: “Wow, that’s damning.
Bent agued back, saying: “Why is that damning? Top of the table.”

One more chance
Alli once had the world at his feet, with the young midfielder shining for Tottenham Hotspur and the England national team not so long ago.
But a huge downward spiral has resulted in him being frozen out while on loan in Turkey, with many supporters believing there will be no place for him in Sean Dyche’s Everton squad when he returns at the end of the season.
As a former Spurs player, and more importantly due to his drop in form in recent years, there is no way that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta would even consider bringing the midfielder to the Emirates.
There is, however, hope that Alli can find a club and indeed a manager that is capable of helping him return to his glory days.
At 26 years old, he can still have a long and successful career, but it seems his next move will be make or break. Another Premier League venture seems unlikely, with a potential stint in MLS providing Alli with a smooth transition back to regular football.
