Everton confirmed XI v Fulham: James Garner gets unlikely start

Sean Dyche has named his Everton side to take on Fulham and has handed a start to summer signing from Manchester United James Garner.

He’s also decided to make changes in defence with Vitalii Mykolenko coming in for Ben Godfrey with the Englishman moving to right-back.

Neal Maupay will also be leading the line for this one despite him scoring just one goal in over 30 games in senior football.

Must win game

There’s no Dominic Calvert-Lewin even on the matchday squad so it’s clearly a problem that’s not gotten better yet and it’s still ruling him out.

Everton are up against it and every game is now going to be treated like a cup final starting from this one.

Their record at home this season, especially under Dyche is what’s keeping them outside the relegation zone so far.
Fulham, while they would like to finish in the European places, realistically, have nothing left to play for this season.

With home advantage on their side, Everton can make their lives miserable and can even look to take the game to Silva’s side.

Everton

Even the Portuguese manager often prefers to play on the break and an early goal for the hosts will change things completely.

It’s going to be a riveting encounter and certainly, one worth watching with the Toffees hopefully picking up the three points.

Garner has been an injury doubt on numerous occasions this season but this time he gets the nod.
