MSP Sports Capital lead race for Everton deal after visit to Bramley-Moore Dock
MSP Sports Capital reportedly remain in the most advanced position when it comes to making an investment into Everton football club, according to Liverpool Echo.
The Toffees are desperately looking for fresh investment to ease their financial issues, and reports on Monday (24 April) claimed that 777 Partners are close to completing a deal with Moshiri.
However, a report from Sky Sports on Tuesday (25 April) revealed that Moshiri is considering offers from up to five parties with different levels of interest but his preferred option is still MSP Capital for a minority stake.

And that appears to be the case according to Liverpool ECHO [5 May] who report that MSP Capital are the most advanced in a potential takeover after a visit to the new Everton facility Bramley-Moore Dock.
“While there has been interest from 777 Partners, owners of Genoa, Hertha Berlin, Standard Liege and Vasco da Gama, and talks have been held with Moshiri’s representatives, it is understood that MSP remain in the most advanced position when it comes to making an investment into the club.
“Najafi, Moorad and MSP vice-president Peter Taylor all visited Goodison Park for the defeat by Southampton in January as well as taking in the stadium build at Bramley-Moore Dock”, the report reveals.
Closer and closer
This could be huge news for Everton football club, especially given what’s been happening on the pitch in recent weeks but after MSP’s interest [iNews, 22 February] over the past couple of months, it certainly seems as if Moshiri getting closer to the Goodison Park exit door.
Moshiri has maintained that he does not want to fully sell the club, but if a suitable offer was to arrive from MSP that could change his mind and the Toffees faithful will be hoping and praying that this development does not take long as the fans have certainly been sold false hope before. Maybe this new report is too good to be true.

MSP Sports Capital certainly seem serious about a potential sale of Everton having visited their new Bramley-Moore Dock site and this could be just what the club need to refurbish themselves again because it is in desperate need of it.
Everton find themselves in serious turmoil, with the club revealing their dreadful and torrid financial state meaning that should they suffer relegation at the end of the season, it could have damning repercussions such as administration.
This has largely been down to Moshiri’s horrendous mismanagement and incompetence and any sort of news regarding a potential sale would be welcome for the Everton fans.
Let’s hope this saga doesn’t drag on too long as we are increasingly tired of all this Moshiri talk. He’s got to move on now.
