Stricter financial rules could close in on Everton if relegation happens from Premier League
Relegation from the Premier League could be catastrophic for Everton with tighter financial rules in play, according to The Guardian.
The newspaper has reported on its website that the EFL has not only tighter rules but are tougher at imposing sanctions too, something that is more than rare in the top flight.
Should Everton drop into the Championship, an immediate fire sale of players has been mentioned again with the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Jordan Pickford named.

The likes of Reading have faced points deductions in the Championship this season, and their relegation to League One has been confirmed this week.
Everton could yet face a deduction from the Premier League once this investigation is over, with clubs around them obviously calling for just that.
If these types of financial results continued in the second tier should the Toffees drop, it could get even worst.

Shock.
This is exactly the type of reason why the Everton fans have been calling for the current board to leave the club and get a fresh start at Goodison Park.
Their gross mismanagement of funds and everything to do with the club has seen the great name of Everton dragged through the mud.
Farhad Moshiri is trying his best to get in new investment, although that still has not happened despite being told that it should be around the corner for the past month.
Does anyone realistically see a club that could bounce back instantly if relegated? Especially if most of the squad is sold, it would be depressing, to say the least.
Everton are a Premier League club, and they don’t belong in the Championship or even lower, something that would be on Moshiri’s hands forever if it happened.
With four games left to play, wins are needed and we have everything crossed it can be achieved.
