Tom Davies Everton future hangs in the balance as club to make decision on new contract in days
Everton are set to make a decision on the future of midfielder Tom Davies in days as his contract edges closer to expiring, according to Liverpool Echo.
The Toffees have got several first-team players out of contract this summer, with Yerry Mina and Asmir Begovic already confirmed to be leaving once they officially expire at the end of the month.
But the club are yet to make a decision on the future of midfielder Davies just yet, but the time to make that decision is looming with the player expected to leave if he wants more regular first-team football.

Time to go
It seems like the best option for everyone for Davies to be allowed to leave the club this summer to get his wages off the book and free up space in the squad for more quality options.
His time at the club has been completely limited due to injury problems and while he has had some great moments, like his goal against Manchester City a few years ago, he’s never really been the required level in midfield.
His engine is good and he loves a tackle, but his ability on the ball is average and if he can’t stay fit for long periods of time then he’s useless to us in reality.

With the way our financial situation is currently we can’t afford to have any passengers in the squad and while he isn’t a priority to get out of the door, the fact his deal is expiring means we should just let him go now.
He’ll be thanked by the fans and remembered for the good times in his career, but it will allow more options to bring some people into the club that can improve our squad and give the boss a better squad to play with.
