Manchester United stance shared as Everton make transfer bid for Anthony Elanga

Manchester United’s stance on Anthony Elanga has been shared as Everton tabled a bid to secure his services this summer.

According to Sky Sports [13 July, 11:44 am], all options are on the table for United but they would prefer to do a permanent deal or a loan that comes with an obligation to buy.

BBC reported that a bid in the region of £15million and £20million has been submitted for the 21-year-old Sweden international.

Loan move needed

They cannot afford to sign him for that much, especially when they’ve got to bring in a new striker this summer.

Sean Dyche was let down by the board once and cannot afford to be let down once again as the Toffees are among the favourites for relegation.

Their squad is thin and with no money or reinforcements, it’s going to take a miracle to keep them up.

Elanga, unfortunately, is not the sort of player to do that and he does not offer a goal scoring threat or even a chance creation one.

There are better options out there that Dyche will surely be recommending to the Toffees board and the 21-year-old does not need to be atop his priority list.

In other Everton news, an exit-linked Toffees player has recently been spotted in talks with a senior Goodison Park figure ahead of the new season.
