Manchester United target Jarrad Branthwaite may look to force an exit from Everton after being an unused substitute against Aston Villa.

The 21-year-old spent last season out on loan and despite the Toffees' defensive woes, he's not got a single minute of game time this season.

He watched on from the bench on the opening weekend and did the same on Sunday (20 August) when they lost 4-0 to Villa.

Everton

Michael Keane, despite his sub-par performances, continues to be named in the playing eleven and an argument can be made that two of the goals could have been prevented with another centre-back being in the team.

Branthwaite's patience may run thin as Football Transfers reported on 2 August that Manchester United will take him at the club.

Harry Maguire is facing an uncertain future and they'll look to cash in on him and bring in someone younger who can become a future first-team regular.

Everton

Given how poorly Everton have been playing and the lack of transfer activities, one cannot blame any player for wanting to leave.

If Sean Dyche wants to keep Branthwaite at the club, he's got to drop Keane and put the 21-year-old Englishman in place of him.

The former Burnley manager's unwillingness to rotate is pack has led to things getting stale and there needs to be a change made quickly.
