Everton transfer news as Inter Milan stance revealed with bid made for striker Beto

Everton have submitted an offer for Udinese striker Beto, which has been turned down by the Italian club, according to Sky Sports Italy.

The Italian media outlet revealed that the £25.7million offered by the Toffees is lower than the £30million the Serie A side are holding out for.

However, the Portuguese striker, 25, was on Inter Milan’s radar as well, but they have now turned their attention to other options which opens the door for him to move to the Premier League.

Path cleared

Everton have signed Arnaut Danjuma, Jack Harrison and Youssef Chermiti this summer but still want to add to their attacking ranks.

Udinese will be demanding the release clause for the striker as they will want as much money as they can possibly get.

Beto is among their biggest assets and his sale will generate decent funds for them to strengthen in other areas of the pitch.

However, with Inter bowing out of the race, it clears the path for Everton to sign him at a lower price.

Now, they do not need to pay what Udinese are asking and can look to sign him for a fee lower than his buyout amount.

Beto was on Everton’s radar in January as well but Sean Dyche did not get the striker he wanted after joining the club.

Little over six months later, he may get his man and there’s no denying that he’ll be an upgrade on the current options at Goodison Park.

In other Everton news, a first-team player linked with a Premier League rival club may now force his Goodison Park exit unless Sean Dyche axes a senior man.
