Everton agree fee and personal terms for Beto transfer just before Wolves clash

Everton have finally agreed a fee above £25.7million with Udinese to sign their striker, Beto, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Italian journalist has reported that personal terms are also agreed, with just final details needing to be ironed out before it is 100% signed off.

The agreement was reached just before the Wolves clash on Saturday 26 August, with a medical taking place the day after on Sunday if everything goes to plan.

He wrote: “Understand Everton have reached an agreement with Udinese for Beto. Deal in place for fee in excess of €30m — under the release clause

“Personal terms also agreed, just final details to be sorted. Medical to take place on Sunday if all goes to plan.

“Here we go, soon.”

Perfect.

This is exactly what we all wanted to hear ahead of this crucial Premier League showdown with Wolves, which is already looking like a must win.

If everything goes to plan and Beto seals his move to Goodison Park in the next couple of days, it could be that he makes his debut against Sheffield United.

Lewis Dobbin has been given his first Premier League start after the injury to Dominic Calvert-Lewin, showing just how bad the situation has become.

That is no insult to the young striker, but when you’re fighting relegation, which looks likely to be the case, you need a real goal machine who has proven himself before.

Youssef Chermiti is also on the bench, with two new arrivals set to be looking to make a difference soon, with the potential for more new signings too.

Hopefully, this is all sorted in the next 24 hours.

In other Everton news, a first-team player linked with a Premier League rival club may now force his Goodison Park exit unless Sean Dyche axes a senior man.
