Gabby Agbonlahor raves about Everton signing Beto as squad verdict shared live on air

Gabby Agbonlahor has been wowed by new signing Beto as he shared his verdict on the Everton squad.

Speaking on talkSPORT on 14 September (09:03am), the pundit said the Portuguese forward is going to be a “force” after the 25-year-old has impressed in his first couple of games since signing from Udinese.

He added that the Toffees have lost some “good players” over the summer, but that it’s about getting the best out of the squad they currently have at their disposal.

“With the squad of players you have got now, it’s about doing what you can and getting the best out of the players you’ve got,” Agbonlahor said when speaking to Ashley Young on the radio station.

“You’ve lost some good players and you’ve brought in new players. The striker Beto, he looks like he’s going to be a real force.”

It’s still very much early days for Beto at Everton, but he has already shown in his first two games for the club that he could potentially be a difference-maker.

A lot of pundits, as well as the Blues fans, have been impressed by what they have seen from the forward after scoring on his debut against Doncaster Rovers in the Carabao Cup.

The Portuguese then went on to back that performance up with another promising display against Sheffield United, as his side earned their first point of the season.

The forward will be desperate to grab his first goal at Goodison Park when the Toffees host Arsenal in what could be another tricky game.

But the international break could have done Sean Dyche and his squad the world of good, as it will have given them time to work on a few things as they look to earn their first league victory of the campaign.

In other Everton news, Sam Allardyce has shared a troubling admission on the potential takeover at Goodison Park.
