He's even done extremely well for England despite his lack of match fitness which only suggests that there's undoubtedly a talented player in there.
If City are willing to do a deal and the Toffees can sign him for a cut-price deal, it's a transfer one cannot write off.
There are certainly going to be other teams around Everton in the table who may also be willing to take a punt on him then.
