Manchester United set for quintuple injury boost ahead of facing Everton in Premier League
Manchester United could welcome five players back from injury for their Premier League showdown with Everton next weekend, according to the Manchester Evening News.
The sides are set to face off at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Sunday (26 November) in the Toffees’ first game since being docked 10 points.
The Red Devils had a number of players on the sidelines prior to the ongoing international break, while others have since joined them after sustaining injuries while away with their national sides.
However, MEN reported on Monday (20 November) that Andre Onana, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Luke Shaw, Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Hojlund are all in line to play a part on Merseyside.
Lisandro Martinez, Jonny Evans, Tyrell Malacia, Casemiro, Christian Eriksen and Amad Diallo are all still out of action.
Siege mentality
United will be boosted by having Onana and Rashford available, should that be the case, after the pair pulled up on international duty.
Regardless of who is or is not available for the Red Devils, Everton will be more pumped up than ever for the match at Goodison.
After events over the past week, it really is an ‘us against the world’ mentality now as Sean Dyche’s men look to escape the relegation zone.
The pressure would have been well and truly off if not for the points deduction, but once again every game is now vitally important.
United have had a disappointing start to their campaign overall, yet they are the division’s in-form team over the past five matches.
That is hard to believe, but shows that they have to be taken very seriously – regardless of any injuries – heading into this massive match.
In other Everton news, a journalist has shared whether Leeds United and Leicester City are likely to be successful in suing the Toffees.
