Everton fans have every right to be excited as new footage shows another landmark has been reached in the construction of the new stadium.

As shared by the Everton Stadium official Twitter account, the turnstiles are now going in and the home dressing room is also slowly taking shape.

While completion of the stadium on Bramley-Moore Dock is still around a year off completion, it is now fast taking shape.

Countdown is on

At a time when our news feeds are filled with plenty of negative Everton stories, these clips provide a nice pick-me-up for supporters.

The home dressing room may currently be 90% concrete, but it is looking as though everything is nicely on track for a late 2024 opening.

The big hope from an Everton fan perspective is that the Toffees run out of the tunnel for the first time as a Premier League side.

For that to happen, Sean Dyche's men have to simply keep doing what they are doing on the field and stay above the dotted line, regardless of what else the Premier League throws at them.

It was reported by Liverpool World on 29 November that more seats are being fitted inside the ground this week, with the upper tier potentially being completed come the end of this month.

A year is a long time, of course, but it will be no time before fans are walking through those turnstiles at what is shaping up to be one of the finest stadiums anywhere in Europe.
