Ben Godfrey has ideal chance to save Everton career v Burnley amid double Sean Dyche blow
Everton are on a superb run, with the Toffees picking up three wins from their last three Premier League matches.
After a disappointing defeat to Manchester United following the club’s 10-point deduction, the Merseyside outfit have since beaten Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United and Chelsea.
They now have a chance to keep that momentum going when Sean Dyche makes the trip back to Turf Moor to take on his former club Burnley on Saturday (16 December).

But the boss has been handed a defensive double blow ahead of that clash. Star centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite is suspended after picking up his fifth yellow card of the campaign against the Blues, while his potential deputy Michael Keane is an injury doubt due to a knock [Liverpool Echo, 11 December].
Veteran James Tarkowski is certain to continue from the start against his former club, but he needs a central defensive partner, which could come in the form of Ben Godfrey.
The Everton outcast has been left out in the cold by Dyche this season, with the defender making just two appearances in all competitions.

However, despite the lack of game time, the 25-year-old is wanted by Tottenham in the January transfer window [90min, 6 December].
It seems that his career at Goodison Park is rapidly coming to an end, but given the potential absence of Keane against Burnley, Godfrey could be given one last chance to prove his worth to Dyche.
He certainly has massive boots to fill, with the Toffees keeping clean sheets in their last three matches, with Branthwaite having partnered Tarkowski at the back in all three games.
