Sean Dyche will, undoubtedly, be disappointed with the 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday (30 March) as Everton were condemned to a 12th consecutive match without a victory.

After Dominic Solanke headed home the opener on the 67th-minute mark, any hope of the Toffees leaving the Vitality Stadium with a positive result had vanished.

This was until substitute Beto netted three minutes from the final whistle, looking as though the out-of-form striker had rescued a point. However, a disastrous moment from Seamus Coleman undid all the important work.

A simple Adam Smith cross into the box should have been easily claimed but Jordan Pickford left the ball, leaving the Everton right-back to turn the ball into his own net.

Though the criticism will be piling on top of the veteran defender, the Toffees shot-stopper is equally at fault, if not completely at fault for the Cherries' added-time winner.

Of course, the Republic of Ireland international will be disappointed to be the reason that his team could not claim an all-important draw during their third successive relegation battle.

The 35-year-old's underlying statistics, though, would suggest that Dyche must keep the faith in his defender, with a difficult upcoming match against Newcastle United on Tuesday 2 March.

While the defender's passing was not up to scratch, finishing the match with a 56 per cent accuracy, he managed to complete 100 per cent of his attempted dribbles in the match. [FotMob]

Up against Marcus Tavernier, Coleman also won 100 per cent of his tackles (3/3), seeing him win the most tackles out of any player during the match.

He also won 80 per cent of his ground duels (8/10), and with Solanke, Tavernier, Justin Kluivert and Antoine Semenyo in Bournemouth's attack, these defensive statistics should not be ignored.

Having shown their attacking prowess against West Ham United on Saturday 30 March, Newcastle will arguably provide even more threat than the Cherries, and Coleman will be needed if Everton are to claim a positive result on Tuesday.
