Everton: Ian Wright and Tim Sherwood debate as points deduction appeal news emerges

Ian Wright and Tim Sherwood were locked in a debate as news emerged over Everton appealing the two-point deduction.

The ex Arsenal striker believes that the Toffees must not focus their attention on appealing and simply accept the result after the club confirmed that they will be appealing.

However, Sherwood is of the opinion that the previous appeal got them back four points and there is no harm in trying.

Speaking on the Kelly and Wrighty Show, Wright said (8 April, 2:54pm): "I don’t know what an appeal will do. They should get on with it. Focus on their season.

“If they’ve been found guilty of breaching, I don’t think there should be an appeal. You’ve got it wrong."

Sherwood then responded: "Fans will want their club to appeal. If they didn't appeal the previous one, they'd be in the relegation zone. Dyche will say 'Give me the extra points'."
