Bryan King has blasted both Farhad Moshiri and 777 Partners after Everton takeover news emerged this week.

The ex-Everton scout has been highly critical of Moshiri, labelling him a "nightmare", while questioning 777's motives.

This comes after Sky News reported on Wednesday (10 April) that the American investment firm has requested an extension to their MSP loan repayment deadline, which is currently set for Monday (15 April) and is needed to complete their takeover of Everton.

King - speaking exclusively to Goodison News - believes that Moshiri finds himself in a very tough spot after this latest update, and has suggested that the deal with 777 could yet fall apart entirely.

"Ever since Moshiri walked through the door at Everton he has been a nightmare, an absolute nightmare," King said.

"He has misspent money, bringing in average players for massive fees.

"And as for 777 Partners as far as I am concerned they are deliberately delaying things here, what do they want, a cheaper Everton?

"If 777 Partners pull out, Moshiri isn't going to get anywhere near the kind of money they had agreed. It is a very tricky situation for the club."

Farhad Moshiri could find himself in serious trouble at Everton

Should the takeover deal between 777 and Moshiri collapse entirely, that would leave Everton in a world of trouble.

With financial struggles up to their eyeballs and a new stadium to finance, the club finds itself in an incredibly awkward position.

They need a takeover deal to go through as soon as possible, but unfortunately for the Toffees, it looks as if they are no closer to that end goal.

The deal with 777 continues to be pushed back, and supporters will likely be starting to feel slightly concerned about the possibility of the deal falling apart altogether.
