Everton, Arsenal and West Ham are all keen on signing former Liverpool loanee Arthur Melo in the summer, according to Tutto Juve.

The news outlet reported on 12 April that Juventus will be putting the 27-year-old on the transfer list soon and will be looking for a £17.1million fee in exchange of his services.

The Brazil international joined Liverpool on loan last season but played just 13 minutes after being ruled out with a long-term injury.

Everton not likely to complete Arthur transfer

Signing Melo will be a challenge for the Toffees as the Brazilian midfielder's experience with top clubs like Barcelona and Juventus means he is accustomed to high standards of play, including continental competitions and challenging for league titles.

Transitioning to Everton, who do not compete at that level and are battling relegation every season, could be a difficult adjustment for Melo.

Additionally, the competition to secure his signature adds to the challenge as Arsenal and West Ham are also keen on acquiring Melo, which could drive up his transfer fee and wage demands.

The Toffees' budget will not match that of their rivals amid their increasing financial woes, making negotiations more complex even though he is an impressive player who won an award for the best newcomer in Serie A back in 2017.

Moreover, Melo's past underperformance during his loan spell at Liverpool could make him cautious about returning to the Premier League.

He may seek assurances about his role and the club's future plans before committing.
