777 Partners figure Keith Steele was in attendance at Kenilworth Road for Luton Town versus Everton, according to Chris Beesley.

The Toffees played out a 1-1 draw in Friday's (3 May) Premier League contest as Elijah Adebayo cancelled out Dominic Calvert-Lewin's penalty.

Writing for the Liverpool Echo's online edition [4 May], Beesley shared news of Steele being in attendance as 777 continues to wait on further takeover news.

"777 Partners' UK-based director of international accounting, Keith Steele, was watching on here," Beesley wrote.

Will 777 Partners complete Everton takeover?

Eight months have passed since 777 agreed a deal with Farhad Moshiri to purchase his full 94.1-per-cent stake in Everton.

And yet here we are, with less than a month of the 2023-24 campaign to go, and nobody truly knows which way this will go.

Administration surely still remains a concern for the Toffees the longer this drags on, assuming there is nobody waiting by ready to pounce.

777 still have a matchday presence at Everton, with Steele the latest to show up, which suggests they must be fairly confident.

Indeed, close to £200million has now been pumped into the club by the American investment fund, who will want to see a return on that.

Premier League survival had already been secured prior to the trip to Luton, which is a massive weight off the club's shoulders.

All that is needed now is for confirmation one way or another on the 777 Partners takeover situation.
