777 Partners' allegations of fraud are understood to be significant for Everton amid the impending takeover saga, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The news outlet claimed on 6 May that while the accusations are currently at the stage of proceedings, they will add controversy to a potential Premier League club owner.

It's understood that the 777 Partners are currently subject to 16 further lawsuits.

The report reads: "The allegations are significant for Everton. These remain accusations at this stage of proceedings but the claims of fraud against the group trying to take over the club will only add further controversy to a prospective new owner said in the latest filing to be currently subject to 16 further lawsuits."

Everton may see their financial stability affected

These allegations include fraud and financial instability, which could not only jeopardise the takeover deal but also negatively impact Everton's financial stability and reputation.

777 Partners' alleged reliance on financial support from ACAP, which itself is facing issues, raises concerns about the sustainability of the takeover and the club's future funding.

Failure of the takeover could leave the Toffees in a precarious financial position, with a need to find alternative investors or funding sources.

The situation is further complicated by the club's existing debt and the need to comply with financial fair play regulations.

It's hard to predict where this saga will go but it currently is not looking overly positive for the Miami-based firm to complete the takeover.
