AC Milan and Inter Milan could battle it out for the services of Everton striker Beto in the summer, according to Inter Live.

The news outlet reported on 13 May that the 26-year-old wants to leave Goodison Park, despite having joined last summer.

Everton must look to make good money from Beto's transfer

If Beto is expressing a desire to leave, it might not be beneficial for the Toffees to hold onto him if he's not actively contributing to the first team and is unhappy.

Keeping a disgruntled player could potentially disrupt team morale and dynamics.

However, considering the significant investment the club made in acquiring the Portuguese striker, it becomes crucial for them to secure a substantial transfer fee for him.

This would not only help recoup some of the financial outlay but also make the overall transaction more worthwhile.

A substantial transfer fee could also provide the club with more financial flexibility to invest in other areas of the squad that could strengthen their first team and overall performance.

Beto has struggled since arriving at Everton.

Given the current finances of the Milan sides, it seems unlikely that they'll be able to shell out that kind of money so this may be a non starter.
