Everton are one of several clubs interested in signing on-loan Burnley forward Jacob Bruun Larsen, according to Bold.

Sean Dyche has a nervous summer ahead with the departures of key players mooted, but Everton could utilise some of those recouped funds to buy the Hoffenheim winger ahead of the Clarets.

Bruun Larsen became Burnley's top scorer in the Premier League this season with his sixth goal against Tottenham on 11 May, and following their relegation, he looks likely to move back to his parent club in the summer.

Will Sean Dyche sign Jacob Bruun Larsen for Everton?

Everton, unlike Burnley, are home and hosed in the fight for Premier League survival, having gone on a season-defining run of form in April which saw them seal safety and secure Dyche the Manager of the Month award.

However, the Toffees are set for a sea-change this summer, with six players out of contract, four more approaching a final 12 months, and two loanees returning to their parent clubs.

Arnaut Danjuma and Jack Harrison are the latter pair heading back to Villarreal and Leeds respectively, and if Dyche wants a replacement to join Dwight McNeil out wide for the Toffees, he could do much worse than bringing Bruun Larsen to Goodison Park.

Everton Sean Dyche
Everton manager Sean Dyche could beat his former club Burnley to sign Jacob Bruun Larsen.

The possible sale of players like Amadou Onana and Jarrad Branthwaite is expected to go some way towards alleviating the club's financial woes, but potential departures for Abdoulaye Doucoure and Dominic Calvert-Lewin would leave a distinct lack of firepower up front.

Six Premier League goals is a respectable total for a relegated side though, and would immediately make Bruun Larsen Everton's third-highest scorer so far this season.

Dyche would win few new friends in Burnley if he beats them to the 25-year-old's signature, but adding a former Claret to his side with a season of strong Premier League form under his belt would allow Everton to get their incoming summer rebuild off to a solid start.
