Chris Sutton shares why Everton worry him in Arsenal v Manchester City title admission

Chris Sutton has shared his prediction ahead of the final day of the Premier League season as Everton face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday (19 May).

The Toffees could have a very important say in the Premier League title race as the Gunners look to lift the league title for the first time since the 2003/04 campaign, with Sean Dyche’s side in their way.

At the same time, Manchester City will welcome West Ham United to the Etihad Stadium, with the two sides separated by just two points at the top of the Premier League table.

When asked if Everton can claim a positive result against Arsenal via BBC Radio 5 Live on Saturday (18 May, 6:22pm), Sutton replied: “I think you’re living in cloud cuckoo land.

“The thing that worries me from an Everton fan’s perspective, in an ideal world Sean Dyche has shown that they’re a perfectly organised team, but with what’s at stake for Manchester City and Arsenal, because Everton and West Ham are safe, they might lack that slight psychological edge.”

Can Everton beat Arsenal and hand Manchester City the Premier League title?

With the two matches on the final day, Everton beating Arsenal seems much more likely than West Ham stealing any points from Man City as the Premier League title goes right down to the wire.

Dyche’s team have shown exactly how well-drilled they can be defensively, with only Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool conceding fewer goals than his Toffees side.

Despite their defensive record, only Sheffield United have scored fewer goals this season which suggests the attacking third of the pitch is where the biggest issues are at Goodison Park.

An Everton win on Sunday would not be totally unbelievable, especially considering that they are unbeaten in five matches, keeping four clean sheets since the 6-0 defeat to Chelsea.

History also shows that the Toffees have claimed victory against the Gunners four times in the last eight meetings, and Pep Guardiola will be hoping for that trend to continue this weekend.
