Stan Collymore predicts Arsenal v Everton and where Premier League trophy will be lifted

Stan Collymore has taken to social media to deliver his predictions for the Premier League’s final day, as Everton attempt to stop Arsenal’s chase for the title.

In his post on X [19 May], Collymore predicts Arsenal will get their side of the job done by condemning the Toffees to a 2-0 defeat at Emirates Stadium, in what could be a final appearance in blue for several players.

Former Liverpool man Collymore also has Manchester City down for a 3-0 victory over West Ham United, which would be enough for a fourth-straight title for the blue half of the city.

Jamie Carragher and Chris Sutton are also among those in the punditry scene to predict Sean Dyche’s side’s visit to North London.

Can Everton get a result at Arsenal?

At a glance, no. But this is a Sean Dyche side, as well-drilled as they come which is precisely why this group of players, gripped by chaos evolving above them, have comfortably avoided relegation this season.

Arsenal and Mikel Arteta have a serious job to do. They will thoroughly dominate the game at the Emirates, and will be looking to score early which will heap pressure on Manchester City to respond.

As Arteta pointed out in Friday’s press conference, it’s impossible these days for players and managers not to know what’s happening elsewhere, with thousands behind you informing you via a marathon of cheers, jeers and tears.

Everton will no doubt be looking to stop any potential party in its tracks – and their best chance of taking any points home to Merseyside will largely depend on whether Arsenal become deflated in the wake of City racing into an unassailable lead against West Ham to secure the crown.

Brentford can leapfrog Everton into 15th if they better the Blues’ result today when they face Newcastle United at home – minor information in the grand scheme of things.

It will prove to be a memorable afternoon one way or the other, with Everton playing a starring role.
