Everton transfer news as Sean Dyche update emerges in push for Luton Town star Elijah Adebayo
Everton manager Sean Dyche is keen to bring Luton Town forward Elijah Adebayo to Goodison Park this summer, according to TEAMtalk.
The outlet reported on Monday (20 May) that the Toffees boss is an admirer of the Hatters striker and views him as somebody who could be key to his plans moving forward at Goodison Park next season.
Signing a new centre-forward is a priority for the Blues following the end of the Premier League season and the Toffees are poised to step up their interest in the 26-year-old once they generate some money through player sales.
Luton are already braced for offers for a number of their key players after their relegation from the top flight was confirmed following their final-day defeat at the hands of Fulham.
Will Everton and Sean Dyche sign Elijah Adebayo in the summer transfer window?
It has been clear for some time now that Everton could do with some reinforcement at the top end of the pitch as there has been a reliance on the goals of Dominic Calvert-Lewin for far too long at Goodison Park.
While both Youseff Chermiti and Beto were signed last summer to try and lighten the load on the England international’s shoulders, neither player has managed to hit the ground running and have since been linked with potential exits.

Adebayo has shown this term that he is capable of scoring goals regularly in the top flight as he managed to find the net on 10 occasions in the Premier League in just 27 games as part of a side which were relegated.
His physical style would be a natural fit under Dyche’s system and he could quite easily play alongside or instead of Calvert-Lewin if he was to leave during the summer transfer window.
The only issue from an Everton perspective will be whether or not they are capable of beating other teams to his signature, especially if they have to wait to raise funds through player sales first.
