Everton transfer decision nailed on as Arsenal player becomes available
Everton have a great chance of signing Omari Benjamin after his release from Arsenal in a deal that makes sense for all parties.
The Wales youth international confirmed his exit from the Gunners via Instagram (20 May) which could point towards a Goodison Park move.
It had been reported as early as 13 April by TEAMtalk that the Toffees are looking to sign the versatile forward in the summer.
Now that his North London exit has been confirmed, he could be set for an Everton move in the coming weeks.
This could prove to be a positive summer move for both Everton and Benjamin.
Omari Benjamin Everton move just makes sense
The Toffees have had well-documented issues with finances which have been partially down to the construction of a new stadium.
While that is the case, the poor use of money in the transfer market has certainly contributed to the problems and points deductions they’ve faced.
Even this summer, the signing of Beto for £25.75 million [Sky Sports] has proved to be a poor use of funds.
Looking forward to this summer, the Toffees already look to being smarter with the free transfer of 18-year-old Benjamin.
He has already spent a trial period at Goodison Park [Liverpool Echo] where he scored a winner for the Under 21s against Tottenham Hotspur.
Realistically, with the rise that Arsenal are on, it was always going to be difficult for Benjamin to get a role there.
A move to the Toffees for Benjamin could pose an opportunity to play in the first team quickly, especially with the likes of Jack Harrison departing.

Benjamin on a free transfer could prove to be a turning point for the Everton hierarchy as they strive to make clever summer signings.
