Bryan King claims Leeds United's failure to achieve promotion to the Premier League will help Everton seal a deal for Jack Harrison.

The ex-Goodison scout believes the midfielder would be a "useful" addition to Sean Dyche's squad.

It comes after a report in the Independent (28 May) revealed that the Toffees are keen to take Harrison on loan from the Whites for a second successive season.

As for the player, he is also keen to make the switch.

And King - speaking exclusively to Goodison News - feels that the deal will get done.

“Leeds missing out on promotion will make a loan deal for Harrison much easier,” King said.

“As long as the player and two clubs are in agreement, then why not?

“He did well last season and could prove to be a useful asset again next year.”

Jack Harrison would likely welcome a return to Everton

Whether or not the Whites had been promoted, it felt like Harrison would leave anyway.

His departure last summer left a sour taste in the mouths of supporters at Elland Road, and it feels as if his time with the club might be up.

And after settling in well at Goodison Park last time out, a return makes sense.

Jack Harrison could make a return to Everton.

Both Leeds and Everton face financial struggles, and a loan move could suit everyone involved.

The Whites would clear Harrison's wages while the Toffees wouldn't have to fork over a fee.
