Leon Osman blown away by new Everton addition at Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium
Everton legend Leon Osman has shared his reaction after visiting Bramley-Moore Dock for the first time, taking a seat in the new south stand.
The Toffees are set to leave Goodison Park at the end of the 2024/25 campaign, and plans are in full swing for the team to be moved to Bramley-Moore Dock, which is in the process of being built.
One of the newest additions to the stadium will be the safe-standing, with rail seating introduced across the whole lower tier of the stadium. Fans have been unable to stand at Goodison Park since 1994.
Speaking to the Liverpool Echo on Sunday (2 June), Osman said: “It’s impressive. I’ve never experienced safe standing. It’s not been in my lifetime as an adult, but this looks great. It’s safe; you’ve got your chair if you need it and it’s very good.”
Everton prepare for Bramley-Moore Dock move
The excitement will be building as Evertonians get closer to meeting their new home, and seeing club legends rave about it will already be helping.
With the current situations ongoing at Goodison Park, fans will want to hear some positivity about their future and the progress being made at the dock will certainly relax a few.
However, there is still concern about the cost of the whole process and the amount of debt building up, especially now that 777 Partners’ takeover bid at Everton has fallen through.
The club need to find a new owner, with Farhad Moshiri preferring not to invest any more money into Merseyside, with some concerned that this could have an effect on the new stadium.

John Textor is certainly an option moving forward, with the Crystal Palace co-owner eager to drop his shares at Selhurst Park and take over from Moshiri. However, it doesn’t seem to be plain sailing right now.
While the excitement around Bramley-Moore Dock is all well and good, the club must ensure they are able to finish the building of the stadium before moving into it at the end of next season.
In other Everton news, the club have been handed a major boost in their bid to re-sign one player.
