Bryan King believes Farhad Moshiri will be keen to complete an Everton takeover deal as quickly as possible.

The ex-Goodison scout claims the club's majority owner now has no choice but to accept a cut-price deal.

It comes after a report in The Athletic on Friday (7 June) revealed that Everton are on the verge of announcing that Moshiri and a new group have entered exclusivity talks at Goodison Park.

And King - speaking exclusively to Goodison News - can see a deal being agreed upon quickly.

"A lot of money has been misspent at Everton, they're in a lot of debt," King said.

"Moshiri might want a certain price for the club, but it doesn't mean he is going to get it. The club's value has decreased.

"I think he will now try and get the sale of the club and his shares sorted as soon as possible.

"His intentions might have been good, but his time as chairman has been disastrous."

Farhad Moshiri will be desperate to cut ties with Everton and Goodison Park

Moshiri will want nothing more than to end his association with Everton.

His time with the club has been mostly miserable, and his involvement at Goodison Park no longer seems worthwhile for anybody involved.

Farhad Moshiri will be keen to find new Everton owners.

If that means taking a loss, that might just be a bullet which Moshiri needs to bite.

And really, there are few other people he can blame apart from himself and his advisors.
