Everton and Roma partnership outlined as Dan Friedkin on verge of takeover completion

Everton and Roma are set to work closely once Dan Friedkin completes the takeover at Goodison Park, according to Il Messaggero.

The Italian source reported on Sunday (16 June) that the Premier League club and the Serie A club will follow a similar relationship to that of RB Leipzig and RB Salzburg, who come under the Red Bull umbrella.

While much of Friedkin's time and focus will be on the Toffees, it is understood that Roma will still be considered his "flagship" club, with French club Cannes also part of his footballing portfolio.

As per Sky Sports [14 June], Friedkin has had a takeover offer accepted by Farhad Moshiri, beating several other candidates to the punch this summer.

Everton to benefit from Dan Friedkin's Roma links

Considering that the Toffees have already been linked with Roma's Tammy Abraham this summer, the links with the Serie A side could very much come in handy.

Roma are regularly competing in European competitions each season, which would suggest that Friedkin is bringing a lot of experience and knowledge with him to Goodison Park, as well as many potential positive links.

As showcased by the Red Bull group and the City Football Group, which involves Manchester City, Girona, and Troyes, to name just a few, player trading becomes a much simpler task.

If the takeover deal is to go through, the Toffees would be able to get a much cheaper deal for a player like Abraham, who could solve a very difficult striker problem currently on Sean Dyche's hands.

With the amount of uncertainty around the Toffees' potential takeover, with 777 Partners' bid falling through spectacularly, fans will just be excited that a deal has been agreed.
